Threshing Show Tractor Pull. The tractor pull in August is split over two nights on the grounds during the Nowthen Threshing Show. Friday night starts with the lower weights and we work up through the two nights. There are also some unique demo pulls during the pull that usually include a Steam Tractor which will emit sparks in the night sky.

In April and May of 2000, several members of NHPA took on a project of retrieving a 16 horse power 1916 Avery steam engine from the Republican River near the town of Scandia, Kansas.NHPA hosts three tractor pulls throughout the year, each located on the Nowthen Threshing Show grounds. Tractors old and new are welcome to participate in the tractor pulls and spectators are eagerly encouraged to attend.
