My thought is the feed will go to the fuel pump then to the larger output line from the fuel pump. Anyone have a picture of the fuel pump lines. Follow the line to the fuel filter. Why bother! The mechanical pump you currently have has worked well on a multitude of Jeeps and AMC and Mopar vehicles. The reason the manufacturer went to an electric pump was because of fuel injection. The mechanical pump is easy to change if it fails, which it seldom does.
